Discover yourself on the miraculous south coast of Sri Lanka. This island is a magical place with lush natural surroundings to find inner peace, strengthen your body with yoga, and clear your mind & emotions with breathwork and meditation. Sri Lanka is the home of Ayurveda, one of the oldest healing systems, which holds that wellness depends on a balance among mind, body & spirit. We will help you cultivate this balance during the week and give you the space you need to develop it. We will nourish you with healthy plant-based food and with one Ayurvedic treatment.
Your breath will be your guide through this journey!
Package & Daily Schedule
We will share a lot for beginners and for people who have been walking the yoga, meditation or breathwork path for many years. Both are welcome. Everyone can choose their own level and intensity here; we will offer many options throughout the classes and during the retreat and provide many opportunities to dive deeper.
We invite you to read our Google Maps reviews to learn more about what we do and what others share about us. Hopefully, this gives you a better understanding of whether you'd like to join one of our retreats.

Facilitators & Yoga Teachers
Since 2017, we have facilitated numerous retreats in Sri Lanka, as well as workshops and retreats throughout Europe.
Our mission is to share the power of breath, mind, and body to cultivate greater awareness of ourselves and others.
Alex
Alex's passion is discovering the power of the breath, emotions, mind, and anything our bodies consume. Since 2010, he has been practising meditation, which, for him, is the foundation for almost everything. He is a certified yoga teacher in different yoga styles (1000 hours+), and to deepen his knowledge of working with the breath and the body, he has completed the Breathwork Teacher Training under Anthony Abbagnano at Alchemy of Breath School and further studied with other breathwork schools (BioDynamic Breathwork (BBTRS), Wim Hof and Dan Brule).
Alex worked for many years in hospitality and as a chef for a restaurant in Germany, specialising in dishes for people with food allergies. His passion for healthy food is always part of his retreats.
He has also studied computer science and business informatics for 6 years and has run his own web and IT service company for 10 years. He knows the challenges of a busy and stressful life. For him, meditation and the use of the breath are the foundation for dealing with nearly every situation in life. Drawing on many retreats, workshops, and courses worldwide, he combines what he learned and will share from these traditions, which have further developed through his practice.
Martina
Martina’s purpose in life is to share, support and give. Her intention is to empower people through breathwork and yoga so they can rise up and see their own purpose and truth.
She is a 400-hour Hatha yoga, 200-hour Synergy yoga, and 100-hour Yin yoga teacher. When she is teaching, she creates a safe and sacred space where her students can find stillness in thematic yoga sequences to reconnect with their body, mind, and soul, and feel the balance between strengthening and relaxation with breathing awareness.
She invites her students into their own greatness, offering resources to manage daily life while having some fun along the way ;-). In 2017 she fell in love with Breathwork and began to discover conscious connected breath in her teacher training with Alchemy of Breath. For Martina, breathwork is one of the powerful tools where she experienced a massive shift in herself and saw happen in others. She realized the breathwork practice brings awareness to our life and the decisions we make.
Awareness is the first step in CHANGE.
Martina will be replaced at some retreats and classes by Kristin, because she is now also a mom.
Dushyantha
Dushyantha is a dedicated yoga teacher with a rich background in diverse styles of yoga and a deep passion for holistic movement. His spiritual journey began over seven years ago through Vipassana meditation and an exploration of Buddhist philosophy, which laid the foundation for his mindful approach to teaching and practice.
He embarked on his yoga journey with a Yoga Synergy teacher training at Lanka Yoga, a modern fusion of Qi Gong, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Iyengar yoga. This integrated approach resonated deeply with Dushyantha, aligning seamlessly with his prior experience in meditation and sports. The dynamic yet balanced methodology of Yoga Synergy allowed him to deepen his understanding of movement, mindfulness, and the connection between body and breath.
Under the mentorship of Simon Oliver Borg, the founder of Yoga Synergy, Dushyantha developed a profound appreciation for yoga's anatomical and physiological aspects, with a particular focus on spinal health and movement. This passion led him to further his studies last year with a 200-hour Hatha and Yin Yoga training, broadening his expertise in slow, intentional practices that support balance and restoration.
Marilena
Marilena is an experienced yoga teacher with a passion for sharing the transformative power of yoga and movement. She discovered yoga through training as an Ayurvedic health consultant, igniting a deep interest in Eastern philosophy. She completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Sri Lanka, specialising in Synergy Yoga, which profoundly shifted her understanding of the modern human body and highlighted the uniqueness of each individual. This insight led her to cultivate a teaching style that embraces exploration and free movement. Additionally, she enriched her practice by completing a 300-hour teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa in Bali, allowing her to incorporate traditional elements into her teachings. Right now, Marilena is teaching Yoga Teacher Training in Sri Lanka and is focused on sharing her knowledge to help others grow within the yoga community.
Kristin
Kristin is a passionate yogi from Norway, educated in three branches of yoga: Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin.
For her, the Yoga journey began as a physical practice due to back issues, but as she dug deeper, it felt like a whole new world opened up to her. Pain and discomfort began to dissolve as she stopped using the body to get into the poses and instead used the poses to get into the body. All of a sudden her sensitivity, which had often felt like a burden, felt like a strength - as she could really tune in and listen to her body and what it had to tell her.
This lays the whole foundation for her Yin classes; acknowledging the body, and allowing the body to relieve whatever it needs to relieve - as we sit with it. Kristin is currently teaching Yin Yoga every evening around sunset on the beautiful rooftop at Green Peace Inn. Here, she creates a safe space where you can show up just as you are. She wants to pass on «the gift of Yin Yoga» to her students - as this practice has become her go-to toolbox - to regulate her nervous system, release emotions and get in touch with the most honest version of herself.
Alex & Martina are both certified by
Alchemy of Breath.
The retreat is organized
and facilitated by “husma breathwork retreats”:
Breathwork
Breathwork can be described as a portal and door to our internal and external worlds. In one session you can give space, expansion, and opportunity for shifts, movement, insights, and change. You have the chance to come back to your body that holds you so dearly and works non-stop so that you may exist here and now.
Let us say thank you by giving our bodies their most essential nourishment… air.
